Mall
Tucson, Arizona
| One of Tucson’s elegant historic resorts was
demolished to build the city’s first shopping mall. Upon my arrival, I
couldn’t understand the mall’s name, “El Con,” which
translates to “The With” in Spanish. After many years I learned the
mall is named for its predecessor, the El Conquistador Resort. |
