assistance (often called Capacity Building) to CEDO. |

First I guess w e should explain why this page is here. Help 4 NonProfits is our
company, the consulting firm that led us to Puerto Peñasco and CEDO in
the first place. And so, in 1998, when CEDO received a grant from the Packard
Foundation, they retained ReSolve to provide
organizational effectiveness assistance (often called Capacity Building),
providing mechanisms for CEDO to grow and to survive the potential loss of its
founder. The project was all-inclusive, covering not only overall operational
effectiveness, but creating a
 plan to build sustainable cash flow, plus a marketing
and communications plan, all with an eye to creating a solid organizational
base. This 6 month effort required intensive work with CEDO for one week out of
each of those six months, from group work to interviewing individual community
members. The project culminated with a 3 day board development retreat for the
combined American and Mexican boards of directors, which ReSolve facilitated in
English and Spanish.
After all that time, Puerto Peñasco feels like home, and
the folks at CEDO feel like family. That's why we have created this
mini-website in their honor. We are so pleased to call them our friends.
